The 90 days estimate is from the day they receive finalized Android 5.0 Lollipop build from Google. Also HTC would be announcing the complete list of devices so these are not only the ones which would be getting the android lollipop update. Sony has now made official that its entire Z lineup would be getting Android L Update. This includes the following smartphones : Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Each one of these smartphones would be getting android L update. However they may not be the only one as Sony may add few more smartphones to android L upgrade list however it does not seem like that as of now. Ofcourse Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition will be the first one to be blessed with Lollipop as it is the member of Play Edition Family. Other devices would be getting it in the early 2015 which would start with the the core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series". For other phones the update would be arriving in sometimes later after the Z2 and Z3 series smartphone receives it.

Samsung Devices Getting Android L

Samsung has also not made any comment on the Android L update. But we would soon be hearing it and when we do, we will make sure to update you.
